Vietnamese students and school children in FLNR

August 22, 2022 visit of Vietnamese students and school children was organized by the JINR together with the Ministry of Science and Technology of SRV and the Embassy of Vietnam to the Russian Federation.

This day afternoon the delegation of Vietnamese students and school children were guests of FLNR. The excursion began with introductory lecture on the history of discovery of existing in nature and synthesized elements, on the island of stability and FLNR scientists preparations for synthesis of elements 119 and 120 in DC280 experiments.

Then the excursion continued in the cyclotron hall where school children and students were told about the main principles of this setup operation.

Then guests were led to the Center of applied Physics where Alexander Nechaev, deputy chief of the Center shed light on the history of foundation of this subdivision of the Laboratory, areas of track membrane application and demonstrated its facility and equipment.
