CORSET setup experimental research for two years
(in connection with the election for the position of group head)
The results of CORSET group work for the last two years are presented. A Brief overview of the physical results of the experiments and modification of CORSET setup for studying the mechanisms of 40Ar+208Pb, 40Ca+208Pb, 48Ca+208Pb, 50Ti+208Pb reactions at interaction energies below the Coulomb barrier is given. Development of the setup for studying multi-nucleon transfer reactions is demonstrated. Brief overview of the results of the experiments on studying 136Xe+238U, 209Bi+238U, 209Bi+232Th multi-nucleon transfer reactions is given. A brief overview of the detector system based on ACCULINA-1 setup for studying reactions on secondary beams of light ions is demonstrated. In addition a brief conception of the project under development for creation of SCIF-D spectrometer complex for studying mechanisms of fusion-fission, quasi-fission, fast fission reactions and also multi-nucleon transfer reactions is presented.

Представлены результаты работы группы CORSET за последние два года. Будет приведен краткий обзор физических результатов экспериментов, а также модификаций установки CORSET для изучения механизмов реакций 40Ar+208Pb, 40Ca+208Pb, 48Ca+208Pb, 50Ti+208Pb при энергиях взаимодействия ниже Кулоновского барьера. Продемонстрировано развитие установки для изучения реакций многонуклонных передач. Дан краткий обзор результатов экспериментов по изучению реакций многонуклонных передач 136Xe+238U, 209Bi+238U, 209Bi+232Th. Продемонстрирован краткий обзор детекторной системы, созданной на базе установки ACCULINA-1, для изучения реакций на вторичных пучках легких ионов. Кроме того, представлена краткая концепция разрабатываемого проекта по созданию комплекса спектрометров SCIF-D для изучения механизмов реакций слияния-деления, квазиделения, быстрого деления, а также реакций многонуклонных передач.

Gas Catcher electrode system for ion extraction test with 219Rn ion source

Design, implementation, and preliminary testing of a Gas Catcher electrode system for ion extraction. Key topics include the construction of RF/DC mixing boards, development of RF Funnel and RF Quadrupole circuits, and their integration with the ion extraction system. Efficiency tests conducted using a 219Rn emanator source at room temperature. Additionally, dosimetry measurements evaluated the activity and emission rates of radon, with findings contributing to the determination of the recoil release factor. The study also highlights the challenges of optimizing RF amplitudes and DC gradients for enhanced ion extraction performance. Future work involves refining control systems, broadening RF quadrupole functionalities, and improving data analysis methodologies. Efficiency tests revealed preliminary extraction efficiencies of up to 63% at 10 Torr and 47% at 50 Torr.
