DUBNA GAS-FILLED RECOIL SEPARATOR (DGFRS-I)

Dubna gas-filled separator of recoil nuclei (DGFRS) was put into operation at U400 cyclotron in 1989. This separator of complete fusion reaction products is designed for study of heavy and superheavy nuclei stability, synthesis of new nuclides, study of nuclear structure and properties as well as their formation mechanism in nuclear reactions. It demonstrates high performance in nuclei collection and high separation efficiency of background products. GFRS was created in the FLNR under Academician Yu.Ts.Oganessian’s direction.
