Award ceremony of OGANESSON prize 2024
On February 14, 2025 the award ceremony took place at A.S.Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow). Academician of RAS Yu.Ts. Oganessian and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research are the founders of the award.

OGANESSON Prize is awarded annually for significant achievements in theoretical and experimental research in physics, chemistry, biology and applied tasks as well as for creative activity in the field of education and popularization of science.
Galina Knyazheva, Senior Research Scientist of Sector N5 was awarded Oganesson Prize 2024 for pioneering work in observing and studying the process of quasi-fission of the heaviest nuclei.




JINR Director, Academician of RAS Grigory Trubnikov welcomed the guests at Michelangelo Hall of A.S.Pushkin SMFA and thanked the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Sciences as well as the Directorate of Pushkin museum for their support in holding the OGANESSON Prize.

Academician of RAS Yu.Ts. Oganessian, the founder of the Prize emphasized the idea that became the leitmotif of the evening about the relevance of the synergy of science and art as versatile forms of human creativity. At the end of the ceremony Academician Oganessian congratulated the laureates and wished them further scientific success.
