The setup central part, electrostatic separator was replaced with the new one having crossed magnetic and electrostatic fields, the velocity filter. This innovation allowed to study a much wider spectrum of heavy-ion-induced complete fusion reactions, beginning from strongly asymmetric to symmetric ones like 136Xe+136Xe. Vacuum testing of the new separating section (pic.1) and magnetic testing of two new dipole magnets (pic.2) were conducted
