D.I.Mendeleev Table is 155: “Testament of Mendeleev” exhibition; Educational project
March 1, 2024 marks the 155th anniversary of D.I.Mendeleev Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. This event is widely celebrated in Tobolsk, Dmitry Ivanovich’s hometown.
“Testament of Mendeleev” exhibition will open and preparations for “Mendeleev race” new educational project for schoolchildren and students as part of Mendeleev days of Tobolsk Festival of Siberian stories will begin in honor of this memorable date.
Early in this year February the first festival to Mendeleev’s birthday “Mendeleev’s Days” was held in the same place, Tobolsk and one of the lecturers of which was Alexander Karpov, FLNR Scientific Secretary. He, together with the legendary Academician Yuri Oganessian who made a decisive contribution to the synthesis of new superheavy elements, answered questions from the event organizers in Tobolsk about Mendeleev Table.
