Galina Knayzheva is among the laureates of Oganesson Prize 2024
On September 13, 2024 at the 136th session of JINR Scientific Council the names of the Oganesson Prize laureates for 2024 were announced. The Prize was organized at the suggestion and the expense of Academician Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian transferred to JINR in 2023. The founders of the Prize are Academician Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian and the JINR. This year the Prize is awarded for the second time.
Galina Knyazheva, Senior Research Scientist of Sector N5 was awarded Oganesson Prize 2024 for pioneering work in observing and studying the process of quasi-fission of the heaviest nuclei.
