Precision high voltage sources for nuclear radiation detectors

High voltage blocks: a – FEU power units (BVN-2kV); b – stand-alone high voltage unit (BPF-2kV); c – silicon semiconductor detector power unit (BPD-500V)

Precision high voltage sources for nuclear radiation detectors (semiconductor detectors, based on photomultipliers, etc.) were developed in Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions.
Instead of a specialized high-voltage source, an AC line voltage transformer (∼ 220 V) POL-12012 together with a voltage multiplier was used. These sources are used in a number of experiments and industrial setups, where they provide quality, reliability, temperature range and the necessary functionality.
